Nicotine shots ("nic shots") are intended for use with "shortfill" e-liquids. Shortfill bottles contain zero nicotine liquid as well as a bit of extra space for a nic shot or two (generally 20ml of extra capacity). Nic shots come in 10ml e-liquid bottles containing a high concentration of nicotine (usually 15mg-20mg), which when diluted into a shortfill vape juice bottle will result in a desired nicotine strength. These liquids can be used in both sub-ohm and pod devices, depending on the liquid's VG/PG ratio (70/30 for sub-ohm and 50/50 for pod kits).
Nicotine salts are designed for vapers who like a solid nicotine hit without the throat hit brought on by freebase nicotine e-liquids. Nic salts absorb into the body quicker (they're more "bioavailable") but the overall experience is much smoother. So, if the higher strength liquids in freebase form hurt your throat or make you cough, and you still wish to vape with higher strengths, then nicotine salts should be your go-to!
Unfortunately it would be impossible to have a strength of 20mg/ml in a 100ml shortfill as the strongest UK available nicotine shot is itself 20mg/ml. You are welcome to add as many nic shots as you wish however bear in mind the more you add the more you will dilute the flavour of the liquid.
