Aspire mods are vape devices that power a tank using a standard 510 connection. That basically means they’ll work with most vape tanks, so you’re not tied into one system like you are with pod kits.

Aspire have been around for years and tend to keep things fairly simple. Devices like the Zelos mods are a good example, nothing too complicated, just adjustable wattage and a menu that’s easy enough to get used to.

Built-In Battery Aspire Mods vs External Battery Mods

Most Aspire mods come with built-in batteries, especially in the Zelos range. They’re easy to deal with, just plug them in and charge, no messing about with separate batteries.

Battery sizes vary a bit. Some are smaller and more portable but won’t last as long, while others go up to around 3000mAh or more which is usually enough for a full day, depends how much you’re using it really.

There are also some Aspire mods that take external 18650 batteries. You don’t see them as often, but they’re useful if you want to swap batteries out instead of waiting for it to charge.

Aspire Vape Mods Power Output and Performance

Most Aspire vape mods sit somewhere between 20W and 80W. That covers the majority of setups people are using, especially MTL and mid-range DTL.

As a rough guide:

  • 20–30W is more suited to MTL tanks
  • 40–80W can handle both MTL and DTL setups
  • Higher wattage setups are more for sub-ohm tanks

Some of them have simple smart modes as well, which try to set the wattage for you. It’s not perfect, but it does help if you’re not too sure what you’re doing.

Aspire Mod Battery Life and Daily Use

Battery life depends on the size of the mod and how you’re using it. Smaller devices are easier to carry but you’ll probably be charging them more often.

Bigger battery mods last longer, but they’re a bit bulkier. If you’re using higher wattages or vaping quite a lot through the day, you’ll notice the battery drops quicker, that’s just how it is.

Aspire Mods and 510 Tank Compatibility

One of the main things with Aspire mods is the 510 connection. It means you can use them with a wide range of vape tanks, not just Aspire ones.

You just need to make sure the wattage of the mod matches the coil you’re using. As long as that lines up, it’ll work fine in most cases.

Who Aspire Mods and Batteries Are For

Aspire mods and batteries are usually aimed at people who want something simple that works without too much effort. They’re quite popular with people moving on from pod kits, or anyone that wants a bit more control without getting into anything too technical.

They tend to suit:

  • MTL users looking for a compact vape mod
  • People who want adjustable power but not loads of settings
  • Anyone after a reliable everyday device

They’re not the most advanced out there, but they do what they need to do, which is why people still use them.
