Replacement coils for the Vaporesso GTX series. Vaporesso...

Vaporesso make a few different coil ranges, each one built for certain devices and styles of vaping. The main ones you’ll come across are GTX, GT and GTi coils, along with the built-in coils that come in XROS pods. They’re not all cross compatible, so it’s worth double checking what your kit actually takes before ordering.

GTX coils are probably the most common. You’ll find them in a lot of Vaporesso kits like the Luxe and Target ranges. They come in quite a few resistance options, which means they can be used for MTL, restricted DTL, or full DTL depending on which one you go for.

Choosing the Right Coil Resistance

The resistance of your coil makes a big difference to how your vape behaves. Lower resistance coils are meant for higher wattages and produce more vapour, while higher resistance ones are better for lower power and a tighter draw.

As a rough guide:

  • 0.15Ω to 0.3Ω is more for DTL vaping with high VG liquids
  • 0.4Ω to 0.8Ω sits somewhere in the middle, more of a restricted inhale
  • 0.8Ω to 1.2Ω is better suited to MTL, especially with nic salts or 50/50

It doesn't have to be exact, but it's a good place to start if you're not sure.

Matching Coils to E-Liquid

Getting the right e-liquid for your coil matters more than people think. Higher resistance coils tend to work better with thinner liquids like nic salts, while lower resistance coils are built for thicker high VG liquids.

If you mix them up, it can lead to poor performance or coils burning out quicker than they should, which isn’t ideal.

Vaporesso Coil Compatibility

Each Vaporesso coil type is made for specific devices. GTX coils are used across a lot of their newer kits, GT coils are more for older tanks like the NRG, and XROS devices use pods with the coils built in already. Even within the same brand, not everything fits everything, so it’s always worth checking first. Saves a bit of hassle later on.

When to Replace Your Coil

Coils don’t last forever and will need changing every so often. How long they last depends on how much you use your device and what liquid you’re using. Sweeter liquids tend to wear them out faster.

Some signs your coil is on its way out:

  • Flavour starts to taste a bit off or burnt
  • Vapour production drops off
  • You might notice some gurgling or slight leaking

Why Vaporesso Coils Are Widely Used

Vaporesso coils are used across quite a lot of devices, which makes them easy to find and replace. There’s also enough variation in the ranges that most people can find something that suits how they vape without needing to change their whole setup.
