TECC Vape Coils

TECC vape coils are designed for use with a range of TECC tanks and kits, including the Arc and CS Air series. With different resistance options available, they’re mostly suited to MTL and restricted DTL vaping, depending on which coil you go for.

TECC Vape Coils Explained

TECC vape coils are replaceable coil heads used in specific TECC tanks and kits. They’re what actually heat the e-liquid and turn it into vapour, so once they wear out you’ll need to swap them for a new one.

Most TECC coils are designed to be simple to use, usually with a push-fit design so you can just pull the old one out and slot a new one in without much effort.

TECC Coil Types and Compatibility

There are a few different TECC coil ranges, and they’re made for specific devices, so they’re not interchangeable across everything.

Some of the more common ones include:

  • TECC CS coils for CS Air and CS Micro tanks
  • TECC GT coils for Specter and GT Air tanks
  • TECC EN coils for Arc Mini 2 kits
  • TECC GTL coils for newer pod tank style devices

A lot of TECC coils are also compatible with certain Eleaf devices, which is worth knowing if you’re using one of those kits.

TECC Coils Resistance Options

TECC coils come in a range of resistances, mostly aimed at lower wattage vaping.

Typical options include:

  • Around 1.2Ω to 1.5Ω for MTL vaping with a tighter draw
  • Around 0.7Ω to 0.8Ω for a slightly looser inhale
  • Around 0.35Ω to 0.4Ω for more vapour and a warmer vape

This gives a bit of flexibility depending on how you want your device to feel.

E-Liquid Compatibility

Most TECC vape coils are designed to be used with 50/50 e-liquids and nicotine salts. Higher resistance coils in particular work best with thinner liquids, which is what most MTL setups are built around.

Lower resistance options can handle slightly thicker liquids, but they’re still generally used in more restricted setups rather than full sub-ohm tanks.

How Long TECC Coils Last

On average, a TECC coil will last around one to two weeks, though it depends on how much you’re using it and what liquid you’re using.

You’ll usually know it’s time to change it when:

  • The flavour starts to taste off or slightly burnt
  • Vapour production drops
  • You get some gurgling or leaking

Sweeter liquids tend to shorten coil life a bit, which is pretty common.

Why People Use TECC Vape Coils

TECC vape coils are mainly used for simple, lower wattage setups. They’re easy to replace, widely compatible with TECC and some Eleaf devices, and there’s enough variation in resistances to suit different styles.

They’re not really aimed at high power vaping, but for MTL and everyday use, they do the job without much fuss.
