Refillable vape kits or refillable vapes, refers to any vape device that can be directly filled with e-liquid. They either have a tank or pod to contain the liquid which is then heated by an internal coil. The most common form of this kind of device are pod kits, other refillable kits include sub-ohm devices and tank based vape pens.
If you’re on a budget then refillable vape kits are the best way to vape without breaking the bank. Compared to buying prefilled pods for kits like the Hayati Pro Max Plus it’s more cost effective to purchase new pods or coils along with e-liquid.
This comes at the price of convenience however and if you’re used to a prefilled setup then it will take a little adjusting to. Filling these vape devices shouldn’t be too difficult though and if you're ever struggling to use your device then you can always get in touch with us and our team will be happy to help you out.
For beginners looking to get into refillable vape kits we recommend staring off with a pod kit, these devices are a lot more simple to operate and maintain than other options. Pod kits work by combining both the coil a tank into one unit, called a ‘pod’.
These pods can then be filled with your choice of e-liquid whether its nic salts, freebase or even shortfills. Once the coil inside the pod has burned out the pods should be disposed of and replaced. Often times these pods come with higher ‘ohm’ coils like 1.0Ω and above designed for MTL vaping.
Despite their simple concept and design, pod kits often come with more advanced features like wattage control, HD displays, touchscreens, adjustable power modes and more. A popular advanced pod kit is the OXVA Xlim 3 Ultra which features a touchscreen and haptic feedback while sticking to the Xlim Pro pod system.
If you prefer something more simple without any ‘bells and whistles’ then you should consider the Uwell Caliburn G5 Lite which is a straightforward draw-activated device with a large battery that has proven popular among new vapers and those on a budget.
The more advanced option in refillable vape kits are sub-ohm devices. These kits consist of a 2ml tank and a replaceable coil, all powered by a powerful battery capable of producing high wattage (typically 30W-200W).
Sub-ohm kits get their name from the low ohm coils they use (below 1.0Ω) which are used for DTL (direct-to-lung) vaping. In recent years however the term ‘sub-ohm kit’ has come to encompass any tank based kit with a high wattage output, even those not strictly using ‘sub-ohm’ coils.
If you want to get started with a powerful sub-ohm kit then we recommend checking out the Aspire Zelos M80 device, its basic function is simple but it comes with a lot of adjustable features to play around letting you customise your vape.
