What are Refillable Vape Pods?

Refillable vape pods are small cartridges that slot into any compatible pod kit and combine both the tank and coil into one unit. To use these pods you need to first fill them manually with your choice of e-liquid.

Unlike prefilled pods, refillable pods are designed to be filled and reused multiple times before being disposed of. This makes them a lot more cost-effective and sustainable, at the cost of convenience and capacity.

In the UK, refillable pods and all tanks containing e-liquid must not exceed a 2ml capacity under section 36, paragraph 3 of the TRPR. All the vape products we sell adhere to the strict guidelines imposed by the Tobacco Products Directive.

Refillable VS Prefilled

When comparing refillable vape pods and prefilled pods it’s important to consider what you want out of vaping.

If you prefer a seamless experience where all you need to do is ‘plug and play’ to replace the pod in your kit, then prefilled pods are for you.

This type of cartridge comes filled with nic salt e-liquid and once inserted lets you vape immediately. Refill packs often times come in higher capacities of 12ml and above by combining the 2ml pod with a larger refill container.

Using refillable pods isn’t much more complicated however, the key difference being that you must buy your e-liquid separately and then fill them yourself. This comes with a few key advantages, namely cost.

Upfront a pack of refillable pods and several e-liquids will more than likely set you back more than a single prefilled pod. In the long run though this will last you significantly longer, increasing the value of using refillable pods.

The secondary advantage of using refillable cartridges is the freedom to explore a vast array of e-liquid options, whether they be nicotine salts, freebase or even nicotine free shortfills, the options are near endless.

Which Refillable Pods should I use with my Vape Kit?

To make sure you’re purchasing the correct pods for your device first check the user manual to avoid any compatibility issues. Usually finding the right pods is a straightforward process since the name of the device should correspond with the name of the pods it uses.
