Setup and How to Use

The Lost Mary BM6000 pod kit is super simple to setup. Everything you need comes in the box with the exception of a USB-C charging cable so getting going with this device is as easy as it could be. Here's a step by step guide of how to set up the BM6000 for first use.

• Remove all contents out of the packaging
• Peel off the stickers and remove the grey rubber tether which separates the 10ml container from the device
• Take the rubber bung out of the mouthpiece
• Gently slide the container into the device until it clicks and sits flush with the rest of the device
• Finally, turn the device upside down for a few seconds to ensure the 2ml pod is full of vape juice

Once setup, using the Lost Mary BM6000 is just as easy. There's no buttons on the device as it is activated by inhaling on the mouthpiece and this will give you a smooth and flavourful hit thanks to the mesh coil which is designed to heat e-liquid more efficiently.

Hands on with the Lost Mary BM6000 - An Honest Review for 2026

For the last couple of weeks I've been using the Lost Mary BM6000 as my daily vape. I've put it through its paces and have tested it thoroughly so that I can give you an honest review of the device. It's arguably the most popular 'disposable alternative' on the market now, with many people choosing it as their go-to vape, so what's all the fuss about?

Firstly, to give you some context, I'd class myself as an average vaper. I've been vaping and working in the industry for 10 years now. I've seen vapes develop from their humble beginnings, from pen-style batteries and clearomizers (remember those things with little strings inside the tank to soak up the e-liquid) and big, bulky sub-ohm kits which would fill a room full of vapour in one puff, to today where the majority of devices are slim, trendy pod kits that fit well in your pocket, have enough battery life to get you through a day, and pre-installed coils so there's no messing around.

Getting started

My journey with the BM6000 started as I was keen to understand what all the fuss was about. As I've been working for UK Vape Scene for many years now, I get to see all the BM6000 devices come in and out the door on a daily basis, so I just had to give one a go myself.

When I opened the box, I was pleasantly surprised as to how simple the device was to set up. Everything you need is there and it's pretty much ready to go. My first vape with the BM6000

I opted for the Fizzy Cherry flavour, and once the super-quick setup was complete, I was now ready to start vaping. My initial first few puffs on the device were great - the flavour was very tasty without being overly sweet, and Lost Mary seem to have nailed the airflow. There isn't any airflow adjustability which can sometimes be a problem with other kits, but for me the default setting on the BM6000 was just how I would have set it anyway.

Although the flavour was great, the one thing I didn't like too much was the nicotine hit. Being someone who uses 10mg nic salts in my usual vape, doubling my strength to 20mg was something I couldn't get used to right away. Don't get me wrong, the hit was smooth and wasn't very harsh but it was noticeably more intense than what I usually get from my 10mg Ultimate Nerd Salts.

After a few days of use

So now that I was a few days in to my BM6000 journey, I was really starting to get used to this kit. It did take me a day or two to adjust to the nicotine strength, but other than that I wasn't having any problems. The battery is a generous 1000mAh so the device easily lasted me a full day (again, I'm an average user) and thanks to the battery display screen, it was very easy to know when I was due a recharge.

When it came to charging, the USB-C charging port was very convenient. Like most of us, I have plenty of those cables dotted around my house and in my car, so I didn't need anything special to get the battery topped up. But - and there's always a “but” - if you're not like me and you don't have one already, it is worth mentioning that the BM6000 doesn't come with a USB-C cable. This isn't exclusive to the Lost Mary BM6000, as many of its competitors in the same category don't either, so if you're not sure if you have one, or you need a spare, you can purchase a USB-C cable from UK Vape Scene's online website.

Unlike some other devices on the market, I didn't have any issues with the device leaking or giving me any of those weird bubbling spit-backs that you can sometimes get from vape kits. The flavour remained consistent, and the hit stayed just as good as it was on the very first go.

Time to change the pod and refill container

The time finally came where my tank ran out, and I was now ready to switch out the 2ml pod and the 10ml refill container with a fresh pack of Lost Mary BM6000 Refill Pods. The instruction manual included in the BM6000 refill kit was easy to understand, but just to make sure, I suggest you take the time to watch the other video we have on our UK Vape Scene YouTube channel which shows you how to change pods on the BM6000.

To be honest, it wasn't as easy as the instructions made out. As mentioned in the YouTube video, removing the 2ml pod from the top of the device was actually quite difficult. For some reason, these things almost felt welded in, to the point where started to ask myself if it was a faulty product! I ended up getting myself a pair of rubber marigolds from the kitchen (desperate times call for marigolds, right?) just to give me a little extra grip on the mouthpiece. Thankfully, this worked a treat and the 2ml pod popped out.

On the other hand, the 10ml refill container came straight out with no issues. Just a simple press and slide did the trick. One thing I did really like about the refill container is that it's translucent, so knowing when I was running low on e-liquid was easy as you can clearly see the e-liquid level.

Would I spend my own money on a Lost Mary BM6000?

Simply put, yes I would. However, it depends…

The convenience and simplicity of this device is definitely what attracts me to it. The fact that everything you need (except a USB-C cable) is in the box and ready for you to put together and vape is by far its biggest selling point. No changing of coils, no carrying around a bottle of e-liquid, and an easy-to-read display screen so you know how your battery is getting on.

On the other hand, what holds me back from wanting to buy this device and use it every day is the fact that the nicotine strength is set at 20mg. Personally, I just don't think doubling my nicotine strength from 10mg to 20mg is really worth the added convenience. For some people, maybe, but for me I like to be able to choose my own nicotine strength and have the flexibility to try different brands of e-liquid. Not only this, but using a 'normal' refillable pod system like the Vaporesso Xros 5 Mini that I currently use is much cheaper to use over time.

UK Vape Scene has some fantastic prices on the Lost Mary BM6000, but even so, using an open (refillable) pod system with nic salts will always be the most cost-effective way to vape. Yes, you need to change a pod once every couple of weeks, and yes, you have to refill the tank once or twice during the day, but it's really not that big of a deal and will save you valuable money over time.

BM6000 Pros and Cons

Like most things in life, nothing is ever perfect nor completely awful; you can find and plus and a negative for almost everything we come across, and the Lost Mary BM6000 is no different. I've already talked through some of the things I like and don't like about this vape kit, but just to summarise, here are my main pros and cons:

Cons

• Only available in 20mg
• Changing the 2ml pod can be difficult
• Doesn't come with a USB-C cable
